Fedro Custom Homes has been building in Galveston County (including League City, Kemah, etc.) for ten years. Our office is located at 8610 Seawall Boulevard, in Galveston and is now fully operational (phones should be operational this week). While Hurricane Ike delivered a significant impact to the Island, we believe that at the conclusion of the rebuild, Galveston will be greater than ever! I have spoken with many friends, business associates, past customers, city officials, and almost without fail, everyone is discussing how to rebuild and make Galveston a great place to live again, especially when it comes to raising our children.

Some of the specific projects that we have accomplished are the many custom beach homes on and around the west beaches of Galveston, as well as projects across price ranges throughout all of Galveston, including “City of Galveston” projects. We are currently building in Sea Isle, Sunset Cove, Lafitte’s Cove, Evia, and the subdivision Magnolia Court (a Fedro Custom Homes development). We are also currently constructing ten homes for the City of Galveston (some with financial assistance available).

We pride ourselves on building to the strict requirements of the city and state, as well as our own standards of building to “harsh weather conditions." We are proud to say that with the exception of some very minor wind damage (shingles and a little siding), and other than the surge of water, every one of our homes withstood the storm. In our Magnolia Court subdivision (priced from $169k to $289k), where the elevation is 11 feet or more, the most damage was about an inch or two in some of the homes. Our homes in Evia, with an elevation of 13 feet or more on the main floor, had no water in the homes.

Fedro Custom Homes is committed to assisting Galveston with the rebuilding process. As stated above, in addition to already working on ten homes for the city, we have plans to meet and discuss at least 40 more units. Fedro Custom Homes has approximately ten homes ready for immediate move-in.

For those of you with damage to your homes, I, along with our staff, can meet with you, listen to what your immediate need is, and assist you. Although we can meet with your adjustors, it really isn’t necessary as they will be disbursing funds based on formulas, etc. (We will, of course, meet them at your request). Also, our company is well versed in permitting requirements and the removal of storm damage, restoration, etc. We will work with you from start to finish, and we will be there for you in the future, with service that you can depend on. Nearly all of our business comes from referrals, and we would be honored to serve you during this difficult time.

Again, Fedro Custom Homes has homes available for immediate move-in. We will even let you move in prior to closing if you are awaiting your insurance monies. The pricing for most homes will not be changed, with just a few exceptions.

Fedro Custom Homes will celebrate its 10th anniversary soon and has approximately 75 land positions throughout Galveston. And again, we plan to continue to work in a cooperative effort with the City of Galveston.
